Last year my husband and I were up in the Adirondacks looking at the trail book to see what mountains that were nearby that we could hike. I stumbled upon Mt. Marshall which was originally called Mt. Clinton named after Dewitt Clinton the 12th Governor of New York. Dewitt Clinton is one of my ancestors and I mentioned it to my Mom that there once was a mountain named after Dewitt Clinton. We always work on puzzles together and thought that it would be fun to work on a puzzle that was symbolic to our family history. This was the only map that I could find that still had the original name Mt. Clinton on the map. The mountain is located near Mt. Marcy.
