Our Construction Kata puzzle was developed to be used with construction managers and crews as part of an experiential learning activity that is designed to encourage intentional, incremental improvements in the work of construction crews. By putting the puzzle together twice to determine their average time of putting it together, teams of participants then begin to make changes to how they work as a team to assemble the puzzle ever faster. Along the way they learn to experiment using the Plan-Do-Check-Act routine of continuous improvement. We wanted a "construction" puzzle to use in this learning event, hence the CONSTRUCTION KATA puzzle. It works great!
