My mom, now 82, has loved jigsaw puzzles her whole life. This puzzle idea came from the fact that she has been diagnosed with dementia, and has the cognitive abilities of a 6-year-old. Puzzling is now impossible, as pieces are too many and too small, appearing overwhelming. The two of us also live 5000 km away from all other family members, most of whom are on this puzzle. This was a way to help her remember who they are, and what they look like, all while allowing her the joy of puzzling. She loves it.
