Our office manager provides jigsaw puzzles for employees to work on during lunch breaks. I decided to create a puzzle that combines a nice landscape with a 3D representation of our company logo. I found a great landscape photo in a stock image collection. Our company makes products which enable water conservation, so water was a key element I wanted in the scene. I modified the photo in Photoshop with an aggressive oil paint filter to give a texture that will make it more fun to build the puzzle. Then I imported the resulting image in to Blender, where I placed the glass logo in front of the image. The logo refracts and reflects elements in the scene nicely.
